What inspired you to run a pub?
My uncle ran a pub on the Isle of Wight, at 10 years old i used to bottle up and work the off licence for him
Why should people come to your pub?
Its a safe and welcoming environment
What will we find behind the bar to delight our tastebuds?
Great real ales and knowledgable staff
Do you have any regular or occasional events?
We are the home to the British Legion and three Rotaries, remembrance Sunday is our biggest day
What are the best & worst parts of the job?
The hours are the worst but no two but days are the same
You have a free weekend – what do you do?
Go away, off site
Any funny moments you can share?
So many after over 40 years in the trade
What three words best describe your pub?
Traditional, Homely, Welcoming

Get the government to lower tax on beer

You can find the BIrd in Hand in Victoria Square in the heart of Stafford. Food is served lunchtime and evening during the week and all day until 4pm at the weekends. You can find Black Country Ales behind the bar together with a selection of ever changing, well kept guest ales.
