The Railway Inn, Norton Bridge has stood empty since closing in January 2025. In September of that year, at a packed meeting in the village, there was unanimous agreement to try and buy the pub and run it as a community pub.

The pub had already been registered as an Asset of Community Value in April 2024 – this in in force until April 2029

In June 2026 a share offer to raise the funds to buy the Railway Inn was launched. These will be community shares and when you invest you will become a member of the Railway Inn Community Pub Ltd
