A short walk from the centre of Stafford this two room free house is well worth a visit. The pub dates from 1831 and a newspaper article from the day it opened can be seen above the bar. Today the pub offers an ever changing range of six different beers, often from Yorkshire breweries, and a choice of bottled ciders. The pub has won a number of CAMRA branch awards including Pub of the Year. Roadside tables outside as well as the smoking area.
